Livigno, Italy – There are few results in sports that are as gutting as fourth place at the Olympics.
For Japanese mogul skier Hinako Tomitaka, that position came with an extra dose of pain.
Tomitaka scored 78.00 points in her final run on Wednesday at Livigno Aerials and Mogul Park, dead even with France’s Perrine Laffont. But Laffont earned bronze due to having a higher turn score — 46.20 to Tomitaka’s 46.00.
